After many teasers and many long months of delays, Post Malone finally released his second album beerbongs & bentleys and it was worth the wait. Ever since the release of his first album Stoney in 2016, the American rapper has been growing a large and loyal fan base. Fans have been anxiously awaiting his second album since he released a teaser video of the song “Psycho” on his Twitter in February of last year. The album was originally slated for a summer 2017 release; needless to say, this did not happen. After being delayed to December and then delayed again, the album was finally released last week on April 27th. Post released three singles from the album before its release, “Rockstar,” “Candy Paint,” and “Psycho.” All three singles were released to much praise and quickly climbed to the top of the charts, only creating more hype for the release of the full album. The album contains eighteen songs and has features from Swae Lee, Nicki Minaj, 21 Savage, Ty Dolla $ign, G-Eazy, and YG. The album has been very well received by many and has quickly climbed to the top of the charts. On Apple Music’s top charts, beerbongs & bentleys is currently the #1 album, and it has nine songs in the top ten as well as every song on the album in the top 50. These are crazy numbers that show just how good the album is and how popular Post Malone has become. The album even became platinum eligible within 24 hours of its release. When listening to the album, it’s no wonder it’s done so well. With hype songs like “92 Explorer” and “Rich and Sad” to slower songs like “Otherside” and “Stay,” Post really shows off his range and musical ability. With this album possibly being even better than his first, I can’t wait to see what Post Malone does next and hopefully this time we won’t have to wait a year.
