We see them being aired on late night TV every night, so 90s shows seem to have made a lasting impact on past and present generations. From The Amanda Show to The Cosby Show, they have all provided viewers with frivolous comedy and original stories. Though each show had its own entertaining plot, there were only the few that stayed within the hearts of watchers after the years have come and gone.

  1. Friends

If anything, this show gained more fans as it grew old. If you haven’t figured it out yet, this TV show is about a group of friends trying to make their way through life while a series of hilarious events keep coming their way. Ross, Monica, Rachel, Phoebe, Chandler, and Joey all stick together till the end and watch each other achieve their goals as a family.

A true fan of the Friends TV series is Rachel Stepakoff, a junior at East Lake High School, who informed me that “[Friends] is the only show that [she] can watch over and over again and never get sick of it.”

  1. Seinfield

The show about nothing! The four main characters would simply find themselves in the wackiest situations depending on their day. Whether it’s becoming an actor or winning a bet, this comedic show always keeps you watching and laughing.

Seinfield fan Mandaly Louis-Charles told that “it was a show [she] used to watch in college; it was as funny as Modern Family is today.”

  1. Fresh Prince of Bel-Air

Another show that aged like wine. Will Smith plays Will Smith who moves in with his aunt and uncle after he got into a fight and his mama got scared. Watching this show makes you feel like you’re a part of the Banks/Smith family as you watch Will grow into a better person.

  1. Home Improvement

One of the most watched 90s sitcoms that went on from 1991 to 1999 is about Tim Allen’s character Tim Taylor and his family. The three boys find themselves in they wackiest situations as the pull off their wildest pranks. This family’s adventure is one not only filled with the best shenanigans but with the sweetest moments.

  1. The Simpsons

When you need a pick-me-up, go to the show that’s been running since 1989. The Simpsons are not your ordinary family; they are extraordinary! The family that seems to never age a day proves with each episode that they are the coolest and funniest American family out there with everything they do and all the trouble they get into.

When it comes to the 90s shows its apparent each show was all about the heart and comedy, sometimes even teaching us something we’ve never known before. If a 90s show has ever shown my generation anything, it is how to laugh till our stomachs hurt.
