Greyson Chance is a triple threat, which is what a person needs to be when going into the music business. Greyson is a 22-year-old American singer, songwriter, and musician. He rose to fame back in 2010 when he performed “Paparazzi” at a sixth-grade music concert. He became an internet sensation overnight, gaining over 65 million views on the YouTube video. Ellen DeGeneres quickly had him appear on her daytime show and had him perform “Paparazzi.” On May 26, 2010 Ellen signed Greyson to her record label called eleveneleven and on October 26, 2010 Greyson released his debut single, “Waiting Outside the Lines.”

Time jump nine years and Greyson Chance has only two albums, two extended plays, and multiple singles. He has not had the same success he had when he was a teen. Which doesn’t sound too good, especially if one is wanting to be a famous singer. Well after his big break, he decided to take a break from the music industry to attend the University of Tulsa. But the college life wasn’t for him, because he dropped out to focus on music.

Now why should someone take a chance on Greyson? Greyson Chance is a talented artist and has finally found what his passion is, which is writing music that everyone can listen to. Greyson is authentic when it comes to writing music about his life, he’s not afraid to write what’s going on in his life. His indie-pop tracks chronicle his life as a young man, trying to navigate love and life.  On November 8, 2019, Greyson released a track titled “Boots,” which is a banger and is about how Hollywood has made so many trends but he’s being his authentic self. The music video is also very aesthetic, and I recommend everyone to listen to it. Here’s a link to the song “Boots”. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cdt0YlUvQ7o
