Bop of a lifetime

What’s not to love?

You may be thinking, what is the best song out there? How can one know if a song deserves the title “bop”? I, our fearless web editor who may or may not turn in all my web stories late (sorry, Mrs. Barbieri) am here to tell you, it doesn’t matter. Who cares what is a bop and what isn’t a bop? Only one can be the boppiest bop of all time and there is a clear winner. After examining each of my impeccable playlists handcrafted on Spotify personally by me, the song that deserves the title bop of a lifetime is Come on Eileen. Dexys Midnight Runners blessed our ears with this one. It wins on all the fronts. You may be wondering who under the age of 40 listens to that song, but allow me to explain myself.

The best bop that ever bopped, Come on Eileen, is simply divine. It speeds up and slows down; it gets quieter and louder; it’s a rollercoaster of emotions and feelings, an iconic ditty to say the least. The wide variety of vibes this song has to offer makes it a definite song to dance to with friends and family. This song goes along with just about any mood a listener may be experiencing, making not only a great song but a versatile one at that. The song speeds up for happy listeners, slows down for sad listeners, and hypes up those who need it most. Say what you must about the song but it truly is the bop of a lifetime. You know it has to be considered a bop when you listen to the song and can’t contain yourself from singing or dancing; it’s nearly impossible to listen and not jam out. Say what you want about the song, but there is no arguing the fact, Come on Eileen is the best or if not, one of the best, songs in all of eternity.
