Meet the Pogues.

Although there is yet another week of social distancing, don’t fear: Netflix has our back with its amazing new show Outer Banks. And it is a roller coaster. a Riverdale meets Gossip Girl hybrid that will keep you entertained; all of the thoughts about what is going on in the world will fade away and you will slowly forget about everything that’s going on. While it’s important to stay informed, this show is for our brains’ need to decompress. And boy, is it a good one.

Outer Banks is focused on John B. Rutledge (Chase Stokes), a 17-year-old boy who lives in the Outer Banks of North Carolina. After his father goes mysteriously missing while searching for a $400 million treasure, John and his friends—a group of not-so-wealthy kids living on the cut, nicknamed the Pogues—set out to find the gold themselves, and complete John’s fathers life goal. But they face many obstacles and challenges along the way, including the Kooks, the wealthier teens in town who fight with the Pogues every chance they have. As the two have been sworn rivals since they can remember. There are also love triangles, family issues, and so more crazy things that all happen in Outer Banks.

Seriously, there is something for you and everyone to find to latch onto with this series. Maybe it’s the love triangle between John B., Sarah (Madelyn Cline), and Topper (Austin North). Or the personal lives of the other Pogues: JJ (Rudy Pankow), Pope (Jonathan Daviss), and Kiara (Madison Bailey). Plus the messy romance among that group too. Perhaps the mystery, surrounding John B.’s father. Is he alive? What really happened to him? Or is it the question of who finds the treasure in the end?

And Outer Banks has already taken over the Twitter, Instagram, and whole social media world. People are going crazy for this show, and honestly, as they should! what other show has this amazing plot, the beautiful actors, fantastic talent, and amazing visuals. This show will change the game for Netflix and we want a season 2!!
