Following Disney +’s hit show Wandavision, the network is set to release its second wave of TV shows. This one will feature the unlikely pair of Sam Wilson as Falcon and Bucky Barnes as the Winter Soldier. This is the second show to release after Marvel announced a long list of TV shows including Loki, What … if?, Ms.Marvel, and Hawkeye. The Falcon and Winter Soldier will premiere on Disney + March 19, two weeks after the final episode of Wandavision.

Bucky and Sam don’t have the greatest history and that’s what makes this show special. It pairs up two seemingly opposite personas to fight against a common enemy, that enemy being Baron Zemo. Marvel fans first saw Zemo in Captain America: Civil War where he nearly split up the Avengers for good. Now, Zemo is back and of course, Sam and Bucky have to team up to deal with him. The show takes place after the events in Avengers: Endgame and could clarify what will happen to superheroes. The buildup to Endgame began with people across the globe calling for an end to superheroes because of the threat they posed, and it seems this mentality has stuck around.

It’ll be very interesting to see these two characters try to play off of each other and work together. As with Wandavision, this show will likely bring answers to many fans’ questions about the future of the MCU and many will be watching closely to see what events unfold. I theorize that the two shows may have a similar connection point that will be revealed to the public later. I know many friends who are looking forward to this show to continue the high energy of Wandavison and I am looking forward to this as well. It will be fun to see what tricks Marvel has up their sleeves as they are dropping numerous TV shows to seemingly connect and build upon the next wave of the MCU. With the show airing just two weeks after Wandavision it is very possible that the two shows could be connected as I mention earlier. This would surely spark some fires throughout the Marvel community and fulfill the fans’ want for entertainment.

With Disney + set to release multiple Marvel TV shows, Falcon and The Winter Soldier, is the second release of this new wave. Marvel clearly has big plans and Disney + is making them all possible and the future of the MCU will most likely be introduced through these shows. Tune in March 19th to watch the first episode of Falcon and The Winter Soldier but make sure to finish Wandavison first, just in case.
