Teen Titans Go is just worse

In 2003, the original Teen Titans came out and ended in 2006 with a total of five seasons. This show held a wide variety of characters, not just the main characters, but also side characters and villains, like cyborgs, aliens, humans, demons, kids, and even moth man. The show had a great plot amazing character development, and all the characters were true to their character. However, this cannot be said about Teen Titans Go, the new 2013 version of Teen Titans, which is a mockery of the original.

Teen Titans Go takes all the amazing things about the original characters and destroys it. All of the unique and witty things about each character is destroyed. While in the original, the only character who was dumb would have been Beast Boy, all the other characters were quick to catch on, and knew exactly how to deal with different situations. But in Teen Titans Go, all the characters are dumb pizza loving addicts. While in the original, they plot was true to everything that had been previously shown, in Teen Titans Go, every episode is something new that was introduced, and is never consistent, and unexpected, and while the answer to their problems may have been simple, they ‘fixed’ it in some crazy unexpected way (that should have never worked), like when they went around the world asking famous bands to sing a song to save the world. And while that may entertain small children, it completely destroys the old image of the show.

And whereas in the original, if one of the characters made a mistake, they learned from it, and it changed them into a better character, but in the new one, when a mistake is made, they just keep making it worse and worse, and don’t learn from it; they just learn how to get out of it, or to just ignore it. And while the characters from Teen Titans had morals, the characters from Teen Titans Go do not, or when they do, it’s something really stupid, like “Christmas is all about the presents” and “Cheaters win.” Although they do have some morals that children should know like “You are your own worst enemy,” there are still plenty of bad morals present. And even just the change in drawing style is worse; while it went from anime style to cartoon, it still doesn’t work.

Overall, I would have to rate Teen Titans Go a 1, and that’s just because Raven is the same for the most part, except for a few minor details. But with the character development and plot being non-existent, it can only go so high. I would not recommend this show to anyone, even children. While there may be comedy for them that they would love, the lessons that are taught should not be anything a child should hear.
