Whether on a budget or going to a White Elephant, this article should help.

A fun mug

There are tons of fun and quirky mugs out there, there is bound to be at least one that your person in question likes, probably best if they are one known for drinking out of mugs. For an added bonus, you can include a few packages of hot chocolate for the Winter season.

A gift card/cash

You really can’t go wrong with this one. For a gift card, make sure it’s a place the receiver actually enjoys and can use to make themselves happy. However, if you are not sure what the receiver likes, just go with cash, it’s not as fun, but it still makes people happy. For an added bonus, look up some origami tutorials and fold that bill up into a radical shape.

A handmade gift

This is probably best for the more crafty givers; however, if you are not artistically gifted, you can still do this, nowadays tutorials are always in our pockets in the form of smart phones. A handmade gift is a way to give something one-of-a-kind that the very appreciative receiver hopefully will hold very close to their heart. Find what kind of DIY works for you and go for it.

A keychain

Recently, I have been seeing so many ads for keychains that there is no way you can’t find a suitable one. Additionally, many are highly customizable, so you can put most anything you want on them. This gift is well suited for anyone who has anything lockable.

A succulent

Who doesn’t love a good, green plant? I have had many little houseplants around my room, but unfortunately many did not live. However, my surviving houseplants are all succulents, which are much more low-maintenance and less easy to kill than competing plants such as flowers or fruits.

No, this isn’t the gift everyone wants, but it is the gift everyone needs. It seems to be a joke when someone receives socks on Christmas, however, I cannot recall any that I did not put to good use. Plus, there are plenty of fun and patterned socks out there ranging from Donald Trump to Cheerios, the possibilities are endless, get your friend some socks that will make them the talk of the town.

A phone case

If you notice your friend’s current phone case isn’t looking so hot, do them a favor and buy them another. No one likes a cracked phone screen and this is an easy gift. Just make sure it is a suitable design and is for the correct model of phone. If you feel like an extra good friend, you can dish out a little more than $10 and get a more long-lasting and protective case.

A pool float

Though this is probably not the best Winter gift, it can still be fun and be saved for warmer months. Many pool floats are big and cool but also not very expensive considering they are thin pieces of plastic that you blow up with your mouth. In the Winter, you can give it a hug to keep you warm, and in the summer, you can use it by letting it do its intended thing, float.

A shirt

Everyone wears shirts, everyone needs shirts, so why not help the cause? Shirts can be very cheap, especially if you hit up a big sale. There are shirts of all kinds to fit every occasion.

A charger/portable charger

Chargers are always breaking so your gift will not go to waste. And portable chargers are just cool in general and come in a lot of designs, shapes, and sizes. Again, the only thing you need to be careful about is making sure the charger you buy is for the right phone model.
