Moe’s vs. Chipotle

In the world of Mexican fast casual restaurants, there are three main players: Moe’s, Chipotle, and Tijuana Flats. All three of these places are wonderful in their own way and excel at different things. There is just one question: which one of these places is the best? Comparing three things to each other seemed too challenging, so I had to decide which one of these restaurant chains didn’t make the cut. After asking around, I discovered that the least amount of people chose Tijuana Flats as their favorite. So sadly, T Flats was cut.

Now we were on to the real fun. I asked all of my friends which they preferred and why. The answers I received were split pretty much down the middle, with no clear favorite. While the choices were different, the reasons were pretty much the same. Things like “The fresh ingredients” “I like how I can make it just how I want it” and “It’s just so convenient” were reasons given for both Moe’s and Chipotle being better than each other. It is important to note that while most people were fonder of one, nearly no one disliked either option.

But I still hadn’t gotten very far. I looked back at my notes to try to see any differences in answers. What I found was pretty great. I went back to my friends and asked them one more question: “queso or guac?” The results confirmed my suspicion. Almost every Moe’s person was a queso person and almost every Chipotle person was a guac person. This made me realize that it may not be which one is the best, but which one is the best for YOU. And determining which chain is best for you is a simple one-step process. Simply look into the mirror and ask yourself “guac or queso?”
