Now-a-days people have very different perspectives on the world and they can easily express it through the media without a penalty. By penalty meaning you wouldn’t get executed for going against the government. With that in mind you also know that a different opinion in a Tweet can easily spark an argument against anonymous people.

Instead of listening and simply trying to see why the people have that point of view, people simply decide to hate. The United States seems to be a “free” state, but if you go against a trend you would get cancelled meaning you will lose your followers because you are not favoring an opinion-based movement. In a sense instead of freedom of speech it seems like a form of oppression. According to Fox News “a family of seven — including four children — said they were pepper-sprayed by counter protesters.” Regardless of their political views it isn’t correct to attack people because they don’t agree with you. In this instance they were Trump supporters that got attacked, but tomorrow it can be a Biden supporter or somebody that doesn’t support either of them.

In October 26, 2020 in Puerto Rico in a Spirit aircraft a fight broke out because of an argument over mask wearing. The woman refused to wear a mask and attacked a man. She ended being tased by police. Its saddening to think that people would quickly choose violence over trying to reason with one another. While we are in a time that many things have been occurring, you can really see that in the United States people hate over simple opinions. As we get closer and closer to election day we must try and keep the peace as it can create chaos over who wins. Just as when the Black Lives Matter protest surfaced many people got in the fight but not for the protests but to create more chaos hence the looters. An article it stated that about 36 people died due to the violence.

It can be extreme arguments over a political party, wearing masks to protect others or not wearing masks, or simply because personally you prefer Harry Styles over Bredon Urie. It’s something to really think about considering we are in a revolutionary time period and people are spending it spreading hate instead of love. If nothing is done everything coming election day who knows what can occur. Maybe a civil war can occur and that is something very scary to think about. Don’t try to fight people; instead reason with them or simply try to listen. As it is said, “Love your neighbor as yourself.”
