Health doesn’t mean not having a disease but your body and mind being in a good state that is very good for you.

The world around us moves at a constant pace and it never stops. We are left to catch up with the world. Sometimes we get extremely overwhelmed with school or with life in general. The best thing to do when feeling a little too overloaded is to take a deep breath and try to relax.

It is extremely necessary for us to just stop and let our mind be cleared. As Josiah Gilbert Holland, an American novelist and poet, says, “Calmness is the cradle of power.” While this may seem unimportant or irrelevant, it is one key to having a healthy body. Believe it or not, when we are under extreme stress our body is affected by it. It can make you have physical effects like headaches, chest pain, fatigue, etc. Your mood and behavior change, making you have anxiety, anger, depression, etc. It is a mental and physical strain wearing constantly and it can be difficult to achieve, but everyone should try to relax in their own way. Relaxation can lower your blood pressure, increase blood flow throughout your body and to major organs, and calm the mind, which loosens up your body and relieves aches and pain. Those are some things that relaxation leads to. Everyone should constantly just take a break and not once in a lifetime but constantly throughout your life. You might notice changes in your mood and even your body. You might be more energized and excited about something than you were before.

For some people, a way to relax can be listening to peaceful music; for others it can be going on a walk and enjoying the scenery, meditation, etc. Something that allows me to relax would be listening to music, reading happy books, drawing or painting, and looking up at the clouds. It may seem weird, but everyone does whatever makes them feel better. Everyone finds their own thing to do and it is something others shouldn’t have a say in because personal health is always a main priority for every single human being.
