For many people music is their relaxer. People may use it to sleep well or to get their mind off the stress they hold. There are benefits to listening to music no matter what genre you listen to.

Anxiety is a huge factor is today’s newest generations and it’s no surprise that our generation has a passion for music so strong. It is said that Generation Z is the generation in tune with their emotions and speak about how they feel, but regardless it’s a generation to experience many firsts like the global pandemic while experiencing their teenage years. That’s why music contributes so much to all of us. Some artists being Billie Eilish, Taylor Swift, Ricky Montgomery, Conan Gray, Lewis Capaldi, Wallows, Clairo, mxmtoon, and many others unsaid, but these have impacted many. We get to escape what is happening now when we listen to the music we love. Instead of keeping in the emotions, we let them flow with our music therefore helping with our mental health.

Not only can music help with emotional and mental health but with your physical health too. It helps with your blood pressure, improves your sleep quality and eases pain. That’s why music is such an amazing phenomenon. You get to relieve your anxiety and benefit from listening to what relaxes your brain.

Other interesting things that listening to music can do to you is improve exercise, improve your mood, and improve cognition. You might feel more energetic and ready to take on life while listening to your favorite track of music.

If you are someone that doesn’t listen to music, look at all the benefits. Your music taste might be different from others, but music does wonders and at times can make you feel infinite. At times take a deep breath while listening to that one song you love and try to detach from the world for a second.
