Now with the regular NBA season wrapping up, it is time to start looking forward to the playoffs. As usual you have your powerhouse teams such as Chicago, San Antonio, Miami and Los Angeles. Between the four teams they all have an easy first round schedule in the playoffs. Chicago playing the Pacers, San Antonio and Memphis, Miami and Philadelphia, Los Angeles and the Lakers. Being able to play all of the lower seeded teams obviously give them a huge advantage. Other then these four matchups, there are some games that could possess an upset. One of the matches is the Boston Celtics and the New York Knicks. The Knicks being the hottest team in the NBA right now, they have ability to take down three seed Boston. Boston is no longer the team they were without Kendrick Perkins and with the addition of Carmelo Anthony and Chauncey Billups, the Knicks have the potential to beat any team. Another game that can be a possible upset comes out of the Western conference. The Dallas Mavericks and the Portland Trail Blazers will be a close series. Now with Brandon Roy, an all star, and other teammates healthy to help support, the team pose a giant threat. They have also been playing great as well. As for the Mavericks, the team normally doesn’t make it past the first round and the most recent finals appearance they have made, they lost, so history is not on their side. This year if there is any chance of an upset, it will be these two series. For the most part all of the top seed teams are playing at their full potential and seem to have it on lock.
