It seems that LeBron and company may be unstoppable.

The defending NBA champions Miami Heat look like they’re on their way to repeat. They have won ten straight games and have the best record in the East. The Heat are led by LeBron James, who has been unstoppable this year.

The Heat are 39-14 so far this year and are ahead of the Pacers by 5 and  1/2 games for first place in the East.  LeBron James is averaging 27 points, eight rebounds, seven assists, and two steals a game, leading the team in all those categories. Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh, and Ray Allen are also averaging double digit points per game. If James continues to play like this, there is no way he won’t win NBA MVP. With him playing like he is with others helping out, it will be extremely tough for the Heat not to go back to the NBA finals. Senior Mark Salem said, “LeBron is the best player in the NBA. Maybe even the best of all time.” That is always brought up whenever James is involved in a conversation. Many critics think that the only team that can contend with the Heat in the East are the Chicago Bulls when they get star point guard Derrick Rose back. The Bulls are eight games behind the Heat in the East and are currently the 5th seed going into the playoffs. If the Heat go back to the finals, they most likely will match up against either the San Antonio Spurs , Los Angeles Clippers or the Oklahoma City Thunder again. Senior Mikey Lipka said, “I’d love to see the Clippers against the Heat, but I think the Thunder have the best chance of beating them.”

With LeBron playing like he is maybe the real question should be who can stop him? As of right now no one can. With him being on fire all year and the Heat going as he goes,  they will be a tough out in the playoffs. It’ll be interesting to see if anyone can stop him or the Heat on their way to the repeat.
