The Alabama Crimson, Tide led by arguably the best college football coach of all time Nick Saban, have been one of the best college football teams in history. They have experienced much success through the acquisition of national titles, multiple Heisman Trophy winners and their number of draft picks coming from their college. In this year’s 2017, draft three out of the top 10 picks in the NFL draft were widely projected to be alumni of the University of Alabama.  Jonathan Alan DT, OJ Howard TE, and Ruben Foster LB are freak athletes have dominated on their pro day as well as the combine, showing much to see as they all were easily top of their respective position rankings at the end of the combine’s festivities. However, some speculations have arisen after Alabama linebacker and potential top 10 pick Ruben Foster failed his drug test at the end of the combine. This leads to speculation towards the other Alabama Crimson Tide players in the draft; could these freak athletes also be using performance-enhancing drugs or any performance enhancement at all? Either way, most feel the drug test will for sure hurt Ruben Foster’s draft stock.

The Crimson Tide of always had a knack for producing some of the best players each year in each draft class. The previous two draft years Alabama has had a combined 14 players get drafted in the first seven rounds. Looking to add on that impressive accomplishment Alabama is looking towards many more being drafted in this year’s 2017 NFL draft.

On draft day Alabama had a total of 10 players drafted to an NFL team, with a total of 17 players to sign to teams, 10 drafted and 7 as free agents. The Crimson Tide had a total of four players to go in the first round of the draft, which is the most players from one team to go in the NFL Draft; this year the next closest team was Clemson with three players. This draft has just shown Alabama’s dominance as a football program in the college season as well as after the college season leading into the pros. This only creates excitement leading into next year’s NCAA season.
