The ball went through the uprights and Tampa could let out a sigh of relief. They had survived a way too close call against the laughing stock of the NFL, the Cleveland Browns. The win did not come without pay. The football gods sacrificed Kwon Alexander and Jack Cichy, both linebackers, for the season.

The Bucs began with a rather large 16-2 lead in the first quarter. Jameis Winston had his usual turnovers and the game was going great. The defense was playing exceptionally well and kicks were being missed, it was just like any Sunday. Of course, we can’t forget that to make it a perfect Sunday we wouldn’t win easily. Eventually Winston’s lousy turnovers resulted in the Browns pouncing on the opportunity. No matter what team you play in the NFL they are professionals and they will take advantage of your mistakes. The Browns rallied all the way back from a 22-9 lead and they had it all tied up. It was time for the Browns to lose in Browns fashion. Bucs kicker Chandler Catanzaro had a 40 yard field goal to win the game and he will make it right? The kick was left wide right and we were going to overtime. As the two teams battled in over time it seemed that neither team wanted to win. The Bucs had to punt the ball backed up in their own endzone. In Brown’s fashion they fumbled the punt and the Bucs had great field position. In a game plagued with penalties, the Bucs caught a couple of those on the ensuing drive and left the woeful kicker with a 59 yard field goal either win the game or remain tied with little time remaining. Once again the football gods want against the Browns and the kicker sent it right through. The Bucs survived but will need a much better performance against the criminal Vontex Burfict and the Cincinnati Bengals.

In this game we saw more poor chemistry between DeSean Jackson and Jameis Winston. You gotta think that Jackson is not happy about his situation and how long until he speaks out. Baker Mayfield showed a lot of improvement and the ability to protect the football. He tossed two touchdowns and no interceptions. Bucs kicker Chandler Catanzaro may have saved his career with his heroic field goal.
