Everyone is opposing my idea that the Chicago Bears are the greatest football team of all time, but in Week 3 they showed yet another dominant win over the Washington Redskins. This brought the Bears to 2-1 on the season and to second place in their division. They are steadily rising after the tough week one loss.

After changing the game plan, the offense finally flipped the switch and looked very confident. Mitchell Trubisky threw three touchdowns to Taylor Gabriel. Gabriel is now tied for fourth in touchdown receptions this season. This big night puts him with Kansas City’s Sammy Watkins and Tampa Bay’s Mike Evans as the only receivers to haul in three touchdowns in a game this season. Rookie running back David Montgomery didn’t show amazing stats, but he had a few great break-out runs that helped out the drive. But yet again, the defense stole the show and forced five turnovers, one being a pick six by Ha Ha Clinton-Dix to start off the game. Ha Ha Clinton-Dix and Kyle Fuller are now tied for second in interceptions, with two this season. Clinton-Dix also leads the league in return yardage. Khalil Mack had another strong game and continues to disrupt offenses. The linebacker leads the league with three forced fumbles. Mack has made his presence felt, as he also leads the league in hurries and quarterback pressures. While Mack’s three sacks on the year are enough to place him in the top 10, it is the consistency of his rush that has become key to the defense. And to finish the game Eddy Pinero hit another field goal and stays perfect on the year. So, with all these crazy stats I don’t know how you can sleep on this team.

Next week they play the Minnesota Vikings at home. Dalvin Cook is proving that he is a top tier running back this year, so we will see if the Bears can shut him down.
