When you hear the word charity, what comes to mind?  Maybe you think of organizations such as UNICEF or Feeding America.  Or possibly the jingle of the red Salvation Army bell outside of Publix.  But when I think of charity, I think of Jameis Winston and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.  Headed by Bruce Arians, the organization strives to serve as job security for the management, coaches, and players of opposing teams.

Jameis Winston, star member of the organization, prides himself on lifting the spirits of rival cornerbacks and safeties.  This season alone Winston has doled out an eye-popping 20 interceptions in their first eleven games!  Winston has even managed to win three of these games, but that is not important.  In his 67-game career, Jameis has courageously thrown 76 interceptions and has fumbled the ball to opposing teams an impressive 22 times!  Winston ensures that no one on opposing teams feel left out, no matter how big or important the game may be.  But don’t think for even a second that Winston fighting the good fight alone.

The offensive line for the Buccaneers has done their part in making sure all those involved with opposing defenses keep their jobs.  Thus far this season they have allowed an incredible 40 sacks.  The Buccaneers are a complete team on both sides of the ball, the defense is extremely effective in allowing other teams to pad their offensive stats against them as well.  Mike Evans is another key contributor in the organization.  Mike is highly respected for the easy catches that he willingly drops in support of the opposing team.  The team’s kicker, Matt Gay, also does his part to help the opposition by generously missing extra points and field goals.

The Buccaneers realize that there is more to football than just football.  It is about love, joy, and bringing people together.  The team works as a unit to assist teams around the National Football League in padding of both their stats and records.  So now, when you think of charity and giving, maybe you’ll think of Jameis.
