Week 1 in the NFL was very interesting. Some things happened that people didn’t expect to have happened to say the least.

Tom Brady, who faced the Saints in his first game with Tampa, threw two interceptions. Malcolm Jenkins, who had one of the two interceptions, returned it for a touchdown or a pick six. Brady also threw for two touchdowns. He also scored a rushing touchdown. It was unexpected because simply Tom Brady didn’t throw too many interceptions for the Patriots. Tom Brady has181 career interceptions. He averages 8 interceptions per season. The Saints won,34-23.

In the first game of the season, Patrick Mahomes threw for three touchdowns. He threw no interceptions. Mahomes threw one touchdown pass to Sammy Watkins, Travis Kelce, and Tyreek Hill. Clyde Edwards-Helaire had a rushing touchdown in his NFL debut. Deshaun Watson threw an equal one touchdown pass and one interception. L’Jarius Sneed had the Chiefs interception. It was unexpected because Deshaun Watson could usually throw more touchdowns than one. The Chiefs won, 34-20.

In one of the most hyped matchups of Week 1, Dak Prescott threw one touchdown pass. Ezekiel Elliott had both of the Cowboys’ touchdowns. He had one rushing touchdown and one receiving touchdown. Jared Goff, the Rams quarterback, only threw one interception. Chidobe Awuzie had the Cowboys’ lone interception. It was unexpected because the score could been higher. The Rams won, 20-17.

The controversial Washington Football Team played great in their rebranded season debut against the Eagles. Dwayne Haskins Jr threw one touchdown pass to Logan Thomas. Peyton Barber had two rushing touchdowns for Washington. Meanwhile, Carson Wentz had two touchdown passes and two interceptions. Chase Young and Da’Ron Payne had both the two interceptions for Washington. It was unexpected because the Eagles could have done a whole lot better than they performed. The Washington Football Team won, 27-17.
