Some teams have already played a quarter of their schedule. The NFL’s scoring is the highest it’s ever been. This Sunday, all the early games had a team score 30 points or more. The action has been back and forth this past Sunday.

Tom Brady went all out against the Los Angeles Chargers. He threw five touchdowns and one interception. He also threw for 369 yards. Mike Evans, Scotty Miller, OJ Howard, Cameron Brate, and Ke’Shawn Vaughn all caught a touchdown pass from Brady. The Chargers’ quarterback, Justin Herbert, didn’t do as well as Brady. Herbert, threw for 290 yards, three touchdowns and one interception. Jalen Guyton, Tyron Johnson, and Donald Parham all caught a touchdown pass from Herbert. Michael Davis had the interception for the Chargers. Carlton Davis had the interception for the Bucs. The Bucs won 38-31.

Another future Hall of Famer, Drew Brees had a good typical game. He threw for 246 yards, two touchdowns and one interception. Tre’Quan Smith had both touchdown receptions from Brees. On the flip side, Matthew Stafford threw for 206 yards, three touchdowns and one interception. Kenny Golladay, D’Andre Swift, and TJ Hockenson had touchdowns from Stafford. Patrick Robinson had the interception for the Saints. Meanwhile, Darryl Roberts had the lone interception for Detroit. The Saints won 35-29.

In one of the most anticipated matchups, between the Patriots and the Chiefs, Brian Hoyer played over Cam Newton. Newton tested positive for COVID a few days before the game. Hoyer threw 130 yards, no touchdowns and one interception. Jarrett Stidham threw for only 60 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions. On the other side, Patrick Mahomes played better than both of the Patriots’ quarterbacks. He ended up throwing for 236 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions. N’Keal Harry had the lone receiving touchdown for the Patriots. Tyreek Hill and Mecole Hardman had the passing touchdowns from Patty Mahomes. Juan Thornhill, Tyrann Mathieu, and Rashad Fenton all had interceptions for Kansas City. The Chiefs won 26-10.
